Ramon Talwwar: Strategic Leadership in Capital Markets & Investment Banking

Ramon Talwwar is a highly accomplished strategic professional with over two decades of leadership experience in the capital market and investment banking sectors. His extensive expertise spans across capital markets, business management, corporate finance, private equity, and investment banking. He excels in identifying new market opportunities and has a diverse portfolio that includes private equity investments, equity capital market transactions (IPOs, QIPs, and rights issues) by Indian companies, and foreign institutional investments into India.

Ramon has played a pivotal role in restructuring debt and equity-linked instruments, strategic acquisitions, joint ventures, private equity placements, structured transactions, and mergers & acquisitions. His responsibilities include formulating investment strategies across various asset classes, managing treasury operations, and maintaining strategic relationships with key corporate clients, high-net-worth individuals, and family offices both domestically and internationally. Ramon advises clients on a broad spectrum of transactions, including minority stake purchases, control deals and buyouts, acquisition finance, negotiations, and regulatory compliance with RBI, SEBI, IRDAI, PFRDA, and other sector regulators.

An alumnus of IIM Kozhikode, Ramon has also completed his CFA and holds a Post Graduate Diploma in Corporate Finance & Investment Banking from Columbia University. Additionally, he possesses a bachelor’s degree in law and an LL.M in Corporate Law & Taxation.

S. P. ARORA (PATRON)


Mr. S. P. Arora is a distinguished Indian finance professional with a remarkable 38-year career in the finance industry. He has held high-profile roles, including Managing Director of TFCI and Executive Director of IFCI Ltd. At TFCI, he focused on enhancing the organization’s functionality, visibility, profitability, and performance in sanctions, disbursement, recovery, cost of funds, and treasury operations.

During his tenure as Executive Director of IFCI Ltd, Mr. Arora managed project financing, monitoring, loan restructuring & recovery, and corporate advisory departments. He led several strategic initiatives in exclusive financed/consortium financing and multiple banking financing scenarios, overseeing credit sanctions and the settlement of stressed assets and NPAs.

Mr. Arora’s academic credentials include a master’s degree in commerce from the Delhi School of Economics and the Indian Institute of Bankers (CAIIB). He is also a member of the Institute of Company Secretaries of India and an ICMA graduate. He earned his bachelor’s degree in law from the University of Delhi.

His extensive experience includes roles at IFCI Venture Capital Funds Ltd, IFCI Factors Ltd, IFCI Financial Services Ltd, Stock Holding Corporation of India Ltd, Asset Care Reconstruction Ltd (ACRE), Nagarjuna Fertilizers & Chemicals Ltd, Dhampur Sugar & Chemicals Ltd, Haldia Petrochemicals Ltd, DCM Shriram Ltd, and others. He has served as an Independent Director at CWA’s Insolvency Professional Agency and a member of the Ph.D. Chamber of Commerce’s Management Committee. Currently, he is a consultant at Chartered Finance Management Ltd. (CFM), offering a broad range of financial services to expanding companies.

ANIL KUMAR GUPTA (PATRON)

Anil Kumar Gupta is a results-driven strategic professional with over 30 years of experience in the power industry. A Fellow Member of the Indian Institute of Chartered Accountants, he has also completed the Risk Evaluation on Project Financing course from Harvard University.

Throughout his 16-year tenure as General Manager/Executive Director (Finance) at Power Finance Corporation (PFC), Anil managed key finance tasks such as resource mobilization, loan disbursement, and corporate accounts & taxation. He also served as Director (Finance) & Head of Commercial Unit for Energy Efficiency Services Limited (EESL), a Joint Venture of PSUs & Ministry of Power, Government of India, overseeing all financial assignments and serving as Chief Vigilance Officer.

Anil has been a board member of four ultra-mega power companies, Small is Beautiful (a fund managed by KSK Energy Ventures), Power Exchange (NPEX), and Parvati Coal Dam Transmission Lines Limited (a Joint Venture of ADAG Group and Powergrid). Currently, he is an advisor at PTC India Financial Services Ltd., specializing in Stress Asset Resolution Cell & Resource Mobilization.
